The drive to grow is a prerequisite for all good musicians and artists in general. The desire to express oneself makes a composition and performance special and unique.
And when you are at the magnificent age of twenty, your vision is fresh, clear, and innovative. We are talking about Aeren, an Apulian band offering a multi-genre-infused Alternative Rock.
The band members have all become our members and are preparing an incredible work: an album of eleven unreleased tracks that totally rock.
Together with Aeren, we went to the MAST Studio in Bari to record the rhythm sections on the stunning SSL 4000 G+ mixing console.
The recorded material is now in all our hands for mixing. We will use our members’ equipment
such as the Tascam M600 mixer and various outboard gear.
Aeren truly have clear ideas and a commendable musical background. The arrangements are crafted with criteria, taste, and originality. As always in our association, the exchange of opinions leads to interesting results, and an open, collaborative environment was established right from the start.
Recently released (December 2016) is the first video clip of their debut single ‘Bad Weakness’ (https://youtu.be/VZfQa27t62M), which can also be viewed in the multimedia section of our website. This debut single represents just one of the many “faces” of Aeren, in an album that will encompass diverse atmospheres and emotions.
Right in the middle of the final stages of the album, the band offers an outstanding cover: The Pretender by the Foo Fighters. Mixing this track was an incredible challenge. We felt a certain sense of awe: we are talking about one of our favorite songs and a band that wrote rock history! In our opinion, the result is very unique. We respected some features of the original, while still allowing ourselves to put our own spin on it.
Silvia’s voice, certainly far from Dave Grohl’s, has a furious delicacy that makes it unique, precise, and powerful. Worthy, in short, of a fresh and young rock. The guitars are powerful, showcasing the politeness of a (neo-engineer) guitarist with a very precise and refined sound. The bassist and drummer play all their best cards, providing a solid and driving rhythm section.
In short, as you may have guessed, we like to color our descriptions! But all joking aside: here is the latest work by Aeren!
