Andrea Musci is one of our first members, and he contacted us to handle the mixing of his debut album.
We found ourselves working on a very unique artistic project, a CD consisting of 10 very diverse tracks.
Our guitarist friend arranged the songs with the clear intent of creating a unified path, with an introspective meaning that becomes clear as you listen to the entire CD from start to finish.
Andrea’s traveling companions are all great musicians, with technique and talent to spare. We’d like to mention them all individually:
ANDREA MUSCI – guitars, backing vocals (2, 3, 5), electric bass (3), keyboards (3, 10), melodica (5, 6), ukulele (11), tambourine (9), programming / PIERPAOLO LOPATRIELLO – lead vocals (1) / LUCIA BAX – lead vocals (7), backing vocals (2, 3, 8) / ARMANDO CARRERA – lead vocals (9) / ANTONELLA CHIONNA – lead vocals (3), backing vocals (2, 3) / VIRGINIA PAVONE – backing vocals (2, 3) / MAURIZIO PULITO – backing vocals (2, 3) / PINO PICHIERRI – soprano sax (4) / FABRIZIO GALASSO – tenor sax (5) / MARIO ANCORA – accordion (6) / SUSANNA CURCI – harp (12) / CARMINE FANIGLIULO – viola (2, 8) / SIMONA PUTIGNANO – violin (6) / LUCA BASILE – cello (2, 6) / SALVATORE ANCORA – double bass (2, 3, 6) / LORENZO SEMERARO – piano (7) / LIVIO BARTOLO – guitar (10), backing vocals (2, 3) / GIANLUCA UVA – bass (4, 8, 10), double bass (4) / ANTONIO OLIVETI – percussion (8) / MASSIMO NEGRO – drums (10)
During the mixing process, we experienced a myriad of different sensations; each of us was left with something, or rather, “something happened” to each of us.
Musci’s music features refined themes that caress the listener’s senses, guiding them on a “chameleonic” musical journey. The rhythmic themes are varied, effortlessly blending multiple musical styles.
One aspect that particularly struck us is the “romantic” use of noise; for Andrea, every random sound was an element to be embraced and elevated.
We are proud to have contributed to the creation of Andrea Musci’s first CD. The mastering and distribution were handled by the “ANGAPP Music” label.
We recommend getting a physical copy; it’s an incredible musical journey and a true delight for the ears.
