Capturing the moment, living a journey, creating chemistry and translating it into music.
Our format “BuonaLaPrima” was born with these premises: a time spent together with bands, friends, and artists who want to experience the studio for a day as a life experience, as a moment dedicated to building a path. Our associative activity was created precisely to bring artistic minds together, to give maximum support to creation without too many compromises: we are here to feel part of your project, even if just for a single day.
BuonaLaPrima is a space we provide to perform a song strictly in a single take and, at the same time, we shoot video footage that documents our day together, capturing those very moments that bring the performance to life.
For the first edition, we contacted our friends Giunto di Cardano, a band that has released two albums and tours all over Italy with their live shows. A band with a capital B.
Davide, Mariano, and Giuseppe have clear ideas about where and how to make their dreams come true, and we were thrilled to host them and see them in action. We spent a wonderful day together from the early morning, starting with setting up the recording gear, all the way to kicking off the live session in the afternoon.
Our new location allows us to divide musicians into three distinct rooms and achieve a direct take in line with current production standards. We used all our gear, Neve Portico Series preamplifiers, vintage Telefunken v672, Universal Audio 710, Yamaha 824, and those of our M600 mixer. The outboard gear in play is our usual setup: Urei 1176, Teletronix clone with original vintage components, Klein & Hummel equalizers, and an SSL-clone bus compressor. The microphone selection and instruments provided by our members allowed us to make all this happen, and here we are: we present to you the first episode of “BuonaLaPrima” at StudioGaudio with Giunto di Cardano.
