Here we are, we’ve been away from our blog for a few months, but ‘when we are still, it’s because we have something on our minds’ Quote by Morgan.
We’ve had many great ideas on our minds, and bringing some of them to life has truly kept us fully occupied. 2019 is ending on a high note for our StudioGaudio association. First and foremost, we are thrilled to present our new operational headquarters, a fully equipped space to mix, record, master, and compose your unreleased tracks.
The new space is a genuine homegrown ‘little factory’, where various technical and artistic figures can find a home and express themselves. We have an acoustically treated control room, with all our analog and digital equipment wired and ready to use. The design is colorful, inspiring, and relaxing at the same time. We designed the studio with both the musician and the mixer in mind; we want inspiration to be supported to the maximum. Creation is a magical moment, and we believe it is essential to offer ideal conditions to artists and our sound engineers. The new headquarters feature a tracking room divided into three distinct spaces, allowing for live-ensemble recording sessions as well.
Although the spaces are not particularly large, we are perfectly calibrated to the current needs of production, which requires a good ‘drum booth’ and an ideal space for vocal recording. Additionally, we have designed a small extra booth for recording electric guitar and bass cabinets.
We are in a place full of unreleased music, hosted indeed by the AltramusicaLive association facility, building 371, a place where bands from Taranto have their rehearsal rooms.
Throughout 2019 we studied hard, kept ourselves updated, and invested heavily in knowledge. We are fresh from various professional courses attended in different studios: at Massive Art in Milan, we took a highly educational course on audio mastering; at Laboratori Testone, also in Milan, we took refresher courses on the most current mixing techniques with top international sound engineers such as Tommaso Colliva, Zangirolami, Taketo Gohara, Caltaluppi, Daniele El Mafio, and many others. With the great Silvia Massi, we spent two days in Rome at the ‘Mob Recording Studio’.
This educational experience has objectively changed our overall vision of the approach to mixing. Artistic vision is, in our opinion, the paramount aspect—a key to making quality products with a distinctive mark. Without neglecting the correct technical workflow, today and in the future, our ‘touch’ will be increasingly highlighted.
2019 also consolidated our management staff, building relationships that are now stable. Today we are fundamentally four: Francesco Gaudio, Salvatore Buzzerio, Davide Petrone, and Elio Di Menza. Each of us has their own mixing style and musical vision; brainstorming and combining our ideas is a Plus for us, a true added value. We have excellent relationships with colleagues and similar entities, starting with our partners and friends at Elephant Agency, with whom we have various projects in the pipeline, not to mention our friend Saver, with whom we have carried out various collaborations, such as in the case of SuperHero by Anna Fanelli, NNT by Saver himself produced by Sony, various projects by Moinè, etc…

How can we not mention our friend Fabio Punzi, aka ‘Dubio’, who has been hanging around the new headquarters for months, churning out top-tier productions in his genre (Hip Hop, Trap, etc…).

2019 gave us plenty of activities and collaborations. We started the first few months with our brothers from Orchestra Mancina with the single Nella Rete, continuing with the production of the track “Isola di plastica” by Giuseppe D’Amati, a song that allowed our friend to achieve various successes, such as winning the Lunezia Award and the Battisti Award in the emerging artists sections. We had the pleasure of meeting new friends and welcoming an ever-growing number of members, and we completed various mixing and mastering projects, just to name a few:
- Yung Sum and Cristolodato with the track Angelo/Diavolo.
- Numa with the track Sangue e collane.
- Marco Buzzerio and Veronica Giusti on various tracks.
- Studio82 demos: “Acciaio” and “Non mi regali niente”.
- Randez Vouz with an upcoming EP.
- Pierpaolo Scuro, mixing and mastering for his upcoming album.
- Anna Fanelli in the tracks SuperHero and on the upcoming album.
- Edoardo Boccanfuso, EP currently in production.
- Inside US, Demos.
- Le stanze di Mandy: “Retropop”, “Stanze”.
- RT poop squad: Mastering.
- TMS: Freestyle.
- The Triskellion: demos
- etc…
Coming soon, one of the most significant projects of 2019: Elius Inferno & the magic octagram with the track Magic Mountain. The work in live recording was entirely produced in our new facility, with executive production by the association. Recorded, mixed, and mastered in-house at StudioGaudio, Magic Mountain will pave the way for the band’s new record release.
In this 2020 we have various promotional activities in the pipeline, we won’t spoil anything, we can only tell you that there will be plenty of playing and fun!
We achieved everything entirely on our own strength, because the passion for music flows in our blood and is unstoppable! We strongly want to consolidate our reality, we want artists with high-quality products to emerge from our local area, and we will stand by anyone who wants to present us with their project.
We wish you a 2020 full of music!
